BIOGRAPHY OF JAUME PLENSA:

Jaume Plensa, born in Barcelona in 1955, is a sculptor, painter, and engraver known for his love of volume and space. He studied at Llotja and the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de Sant Jordi, both in his hometown.

Considered one of the artists with the most international projection, Plensa’s work has been exhibited in leading contemporary art centers and institutions worldwide.

Jaume Plensa has ventured into various artistic and technical manifestations, including drawing, sculpture, graphic work, opera stage design, video projections, and acoustic installations. Despite his high recognition in the art market, Plensa has managed to remain outside commercial currents that often pervade contemporary art.
