In 1892, Domingo Soler received a scholarship from the City Council of Barcelona and traveled to Rome and Paris to study scenography. He later became an educator at the Italian School of Barcelona and, subsequently, at the School of Arts and Crafts "Llotja." He also served as the president of the Agrupació de Aquarel·listes de Catalunya.
