RICARD MARÍN LLOVET (Barcelona, 1874 - Mexico 1955)
Ricard Marín Llovet was born in Barcelona in 1874. He studied law in Barcelona but dedicated himself to painting and drawing. As an illustrator, he collaborated in numerous magazines and newspapers such as "El gato negro," "Hispania," "Madrid Cómico," "Blanco y negro," "La esfera," and "La ilustración hispano-americana."
He participated in the General Exhibition of Fine Arts in 1908, the National Exhibition of 1912, and the VIII Salon of Humorists in 1921. In 1912, he founded El Gran Bufón, where he also served as the director.
Marín stood out for the elegance and fluency of his inks.
He passed away in 1955 in Mexico.
