**BIOGRAPHY OF ROBERT LLIMÓS:**

Born in Barcelona in 1943, Robert Llimós is a painter, sculptor, and draftsman, the son of the painter Camil Llimós. He received his training at the Massana School and the Sant Jordi Higher School of Fine Arts in Barcelona.

In 1975, Llimós moved to New York and later to Miami, alternating his residence for a few years between New York and Barcelona. He was one of the selected artists to represent Catalonia at the Catalan Pavilion at the 1992 Seville International Exhibition.

Llimós has three public works installed in Barcelona and one in Atlanta for the 1996 Olympic Games. His work has gained international renown, especially in the United States, South Korea, and Germany, where he exhibited at the Bochum Museum and the Kunstverein G�ppingen Stadtische Galerie in G�ppingen.

Museums and collections where Llimós’ works can be found include the Museum of Modern Art do Espírito Santo in Vitoria (Brazil), the Caixa de Pensions Foundation in Madrid, the Autonomous University of Barcelona in Bellaterra, the Friends of the Reina Sofía Art Center in Madrid, the Museum of Fine Arts in Álava, the Seville Museum, Fondazione Lucio Amelio in Naples, Frac (Fonds Régionaux d’Art Contemporain) Rousillon in Midi-Pyrenées (France), Barcelona City Hall, Peter Stuyvesant Foundation in Amsterdam (Netherlands), Solleric Palace in Mallorca, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, and the Art Fund of the Generalitat de Catalunya, among others.

Robert Llimós has numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide. In 1994, he was awarded the Plastic Arts Prize from the Generalitat de Catalunya.
