Ucles

1

Josep Uclés (Badalona, 1952 - La Roca del Vallès, 2013) was one of the most genuinely representative artists of European neo-figuration. His notable presence in the historic exhibition "Europa-79" in Stuttgart, Germany, positioned him at the forefront of European painting in the 1980s. This exhibition was a milestone that marked the emergence of German neo-expressionism and Italian transavantgarde, featuring the participation of German, English, and Italian artists.

The unique plastic and aesthetic characteristics of Uclés’ work, combined with his critical and independent nature, resulted in an unmistakable artistic body of work.
