BIOGRAPHY OF JOAN BARBAR�:

Barcelona, 1927 - 2014

Teacher and recording artist besides painter and sketcher, create his first factory with 23 years old. Seven years later, in Paris, he creates with Lluis Bracons L��telier de Recherches Pl�stiques ET T�chniques Calcographiques. There he begins a great friendship and collaboration with Salvador Dal�, He was working in the calcography�s factories of this city. In 1966 in Barcelona he is in charge of Editions La Cometa where he will work with Picasso, Hartung, Fontana, T�pies, Chillida, and some more artists.

At the same time, Barbar� exhibits his own work in galleries and museums: Suite of still lifes in Maeght gallery with catalogue and exhibitions around Europe, suite Negre sobre Negre (black on black) in Miro Foundation, suite of engravings and drawings of great dimensions called Empuries, exhibition in Drassanes Museum of Barcelona and Ars Santa Monica, Barcelona.

Member of the Reial Academy of Sant Jordi, Barbar� obtains awards and tributes in different countries.
